i dont know how these people continually get away with the things they do...the bill they r suing us over is actually 7 years old. and they are trying to sue us for a may and july bill that doesnt exist because we moved from the address in march 2002.

havent heard anything about any phone bill since 2001. then we tried to get phone service where we r now and in nov of 2007 we get a phone call after 10 pm. told them to stop calling and said the so called debt was false. did not hear anyting til april of 08. now they r trying to sue us for this matter and set a court date for july 10th 08.

DO NOT under any circumstances ignore this court date...even if you don't owe the money....Being a "no show" means default judgment for Palisades....That's exactly what they want you to do...be a "no show." Don't play their game...Show up on this court date.

Budhibbs.com has a lot of good info on this sleazy firm:
--------------------------------

Also known as Asta Funding, a publicly held organization worth a LOT of money. Palisades Collections, LLC is their bottom feeder entity collecting on old, worthless accounts.

Palisades Collections needs to be confronted at every step with demands for debt validation. All of their tainted credit bureau reporting should be disputed; court suits MUST be vigorously defended. Challenge each and every document they file, assume they are bogus and manufactured. Palisades appears to be engaging in a lot of illegal collection activity and credit bureau reporting, they deserve to be sued at every opportunity by consumer law professionals.
