Complaint Review: PALM HARBOR

My name is carolina perales, in 2002 my husband and I were looking for a nice home something to call our own. This house was going to be our dream home. I was expecting our first child at the time we decided to pull into the parking lot of palm harbor homes.

A sales man by the name of Bill, greeted us and took us to his office and this is where the Hell begins. He talked so fast and promised so much that he didn't even gives us time to think. We told him that we could only afford a $600.00 monthly payment and he promised that the payment would not go over that at all.

He showed us houses that he said would be in our budget and then he told us that since the government wants people to buy homes he promised to pay off the rest of our rent payments at the apartment complex we were living at. Which later turned out to be a lie. To make along story short, the house was a total failure.

The payments per month were $945.45, they ruined our credit, they drained money from us and I had pregnancy complications due to stress. There were four mounds of dirt and rock in our backyard which they refused to clean, house was uneven, septic was exposed, trash all around the house. I want to warn people out there please don't ever buy palm harbor homes you will regret it!
