Complaint Review: Palmers Vehicle Extended Warranties

I’m writing today to warn everyone on the Palmer extended Warrant Company. The company will not honor there agreed warranty terms. April 2016 I purchased a vehicle warranty from this company because they told me they would cover My 2008 F350, because I didn’t wanted to have the predicament I’m in happen at the time I repeatedly told the sales person my truck had slightly oversize tires , and I towed , there response that’s fine , I asked them if they needed a pre inspection , was told no , I asked if they needed to see it I was told no. At the time I thought it was a good deal and accepted, I paid on this for over 16 months and about 5 weeks ago my transmission went.

I gave my mechanic the policy umber and phone number where they instructed him to " Check if there was metal in the converter" My mechanic told them in order to accomplish this they have to pull the transmission the promptly responded with do it . Transmission is out and inspected showed up first thing he did was check converter where no metal particles were found, he then took pictures of my truck.

Following Monday the baffled mechanic called me and told me my claim is denied for oversize tires he also mentioned how rudely he was treated. I called the claims department and was rudely treated as well as if they were gods, after a heated argument he called me a liar multiple times. I proceeded to ask who was paying for taking my transmission out and was told (we never told him to take it out) basically now calling my mechanic a liar.

This company can serve as a poster child for scam artist; they have multiple complaints on the BBB for the same type bait and switch tactics and for treating their customer’s rudely. I’m a decorated disabled Vet. While I was in the service we were always warned about places like this company. Buyer Beware
