Palmetto Marketing, Inc., PMI SCAM fraudulent ripoff business Coral Springs Florida
I went online to get the phone number for PMI (notice that it is nowhere to be found on your receipt!) to check on the status of my order. I stumbled accross ripoffreport.com. After reading some of the testimonials, I was sure that I had become yet another of PMI's victims. I called PMI in an attempt to cancel the subscriptions and get a refund of my money.
They refused both, citing their cancellation rule on the back of the receipt. ("You may cancel this transaction, without any penalty or obligation, within three business days from the above date." - source: customer copy of sales receipt)
They fail to realize two very important things: (1) The 'penalty or obligation' that they refer to on their receipt is NEVER defined. (2) There is nothing stating that one cannot cancel the order after the three business days. It just implies that there would be a penalty (which they do not define, so how can one be enforced?)
Since my conversation with them, I have contacted the Florida State Attorney General's Office, the Florida Fraud Hotline, the Division of Consumer Services for the state of Florida, the Broward County Consumer Services (Coral Springs is in Broward County), and the Better Business Bureau. I am not stopping there.
I am contacting news agencies as well as researching class action lawsuits. I urge anyone that has been taken by this company to take the above steps as well, and perhaps our voices together will bring them down.
