Two gentlemen "Paul Wallach" and "Robert Mann" (alledged names) came to my door today. As stated numerous times in others' reports, they claimed they were just out of high schoolers who were selling mags to win a trip to Bermuda. I should have trusted my instincts because red flags were going up all over the place.

First, they both looked to be over 20, not right out of high school. I commented on how old they looked and joked to see their I.D. Neither one said they had any on them...what guy doesn't carry I.D. on him all the time?
Secondly, the "talker" (the other just sat there) kept the conversation flowing, so as to avoid any additional questions on my part. He said that he lived in the neighborhood (named a street in my development), and said that he went to the city high school.

Anyhow, the company checks out, however it seems they have a terrible reputation with fulfilling their customers orders. The subscriptions could eventually come, but I'm not going to wait and find out.

Upon reading all these reports, I called my bank and informed them of the situation. Luckily, they only charged me for one stop payment (I wrote them 2 checks totaling 70.00).

Overall, a lesson well learned, and a reminder to trust your instincts.
