Complaint Review: Palmetto Marketing

A young man claiming to be from a local college came to my door the other day selling magazines to earn points for a trip to Cancun. Well, after I ordered $34 worth of magazines something didn't feel quite right about the whole experience. On the receipt, it says that if I am not satisfied I can cancel the order within 3 days of the transaction. I mailed everything in it asked for within the timeframe specified. Well, the check still cleared the bank. This infuriated me.

I called the number the guy wrote down and they said they didn't get it before the bank run was made and yada yada yada. They told me to fax them the proof from my bank that the check had cleared. I did this and we'll see where it goes from there. I will keep this site posted. I have seen where so many people have been ripped off by this company.

I wanted to give everyone the information I have for contacting them. Phone 954-341-#### and Fax 954-341-####. Maybe we can all stop this company from scamming anyone else.

I also have a friend that is in this line of work. Her advice is, most companies based out of Florida are fakes. If they only offer 1 year subscriptions they are fake. A legitimate company has at least 3 year subscriptions available for purchase and they don't sell magazines for less than $40.
