Palmetto Marketing ripoff magazine subscription Coral Springs Florida
I live in a small town, where not too much crime happens. One afternoon, a college aged male came to my door selling magazines. He asked to come in, so I let him. He told me all about his magazines and how he can earn points for those sold. I even left my 20 month old child in the house with him to grab my checkbook from the car. Afterwords, it felt wrong because he told me it would be a 2 year subscription but it was only for 20 monthes. Also he added a $10.00 processing fee, which he never mentioned. He also smelled strongly of cigarettes and just looked ragged.
I sent in my cancellation immediatly. I called today, 2 weeks after ordering. The lady said, "You won't believe this, we haven't received it yet." Oh, after googling the company, I believe it. She said it was due to the hurricane. My check cleared today, though. Somehow THAT mail came through. I'm kicking myself for spending the $35.94 on a Child magazine with a free subscription to Shape. I hope I get my money back.

All magazines/periodicals do not publish monthly. If publication is 10 issues per year, 20 issues is still considered a 2-yr. subscription. Was your check possibly sent in before the hurricane and your cancellation notification sent after/during?
