Complaint Review: Palmetto Marketing

Two young girls knocked on my door, I figured they were young high school age (maybe 15 or so). The lead girl spoke quickly, handed me her form that had GROSS MISSPELLING all over it, really unprofessional things, and asked to come inside to write down my order.

I let them in only enough to sit on the steps in my house, the lead talker asked to use the bathroom, they inquired about my house, my kids, then asked if I would pay in cash, because they would get more points. All of these things led me to suspicion, and after they finally left, they asked me to put this sticker on my front door (that said "mandy's the pimp" and all sorts of odd things). She said that 100's of other kids would be by, especially the boys, and to keep the sticker on until April.

I told her to give me the sticker, that I don't want anything on my door, and she was quick to say "if it sticks, just use alcohol to get it off." She had a quick, obnoxious answer for everything. She said that Time was the same as People magazine, I told her "no, they are not."

After they left, I called my sister in law in California, who had been duped by this same company. These girls had put the company they worked for was Gemini company. After I got all of the internet info on this PMI company, I stopped payment on my check, then went to the police. The police are on their way over to my house right now with these girls for me to identify.

Ha! I think this is great!!! One small battle won, except it cost me $10 to stop payment on the check. But to help out anyone else in this city, especially the elderly on a fixed income, from being taken, that's the most I could do.
