Complaint Review: Palmetto Marketing

So I was posting a rip-off report for another company and I saw this one. I live in an apartment community in Tampa, FL and have encountered these people twice - although I didn't realize it until just now. The first time was about 6 months ago. A male in his early 20's came to my door asking me to buy magaines to help him out. I don't remember what for, but it was probably for the college tuition which makes sense because I do live next to the USF campus.

He was charming at first. He got me to agree to help him out and I started to fill out the form. Then he wanted payment. At that time, they didn't take credit cards and I didn't have a checkbook or cash on me. So the sale ended there. He wanted me to go to an ATM to pull out money but I said I wasn't going to do that. His whole demeanor changed after he realized I wasn't going to buy from him. He seemed angry with me for not buying from him. He had been so nice to me before that I actually found myself apologizing for not being able to help him out!

About a month ago, another young male came to my door selling the same magazine subscription. I told him I couldn't because they didn't accept credit cards. He said they did now, but I was over the magazine buying. Thank God I listened to my intuition and said no. I'm sorry that they have scammed so many people and I'm waiting for them to come back to my door so I can call the cops on them.

If you are working for this company - PLEASE STOP! There are so many better sales jobs out there! These companies only survive because they have people who are willing to work for them.
