I was scammed today by a young man (J. Doberstein) representing Palmetto Marketing Inc. He talked me into a subscription danation to St. Judes Hostipal. I asked to have Preschool Playroom donated however after I signed the order form and gave my check he changed the magazine to Razor which is $2 less than the original magazine. He was of couse gone by the time I noticed the change. I have already put in the mail the cancellation form but doubt it will be cancelled or that my check will be returned in 10 days as the form states.
I plan to put a stop payment on my check which stinks because the check was for $34 and the stop payment fee is $25, that only saves me $9. However the satisfaction of knowing that this scammer will not be getting any money makes me feel a little better. Don't be taken in by these fast talkers. Turn them away no matter how young sweet or innocent they look.

I used to do door to door sales with a different company. I was just wondering if you knew the name of the actual sales company that knocked on your door? There should be 3 numbers filled out like "027" or "333" somewhere with the name like "Paramount Sales". I'm just a nosey ex-magazine kid wondering what crew is in town. Also, not all kids are scammers knocking on your door. It's just unfortunate that the scammers, like the one that knocked on your door, give ALL the kids a bad wrap. Anywho, have a nice day and i hope to see a response. Thank you.
