Palmetto Pools and Spa on Garners Ferry Rd in Columbia, SC is not a very trustworthy business.

The secretary there has lied to me and my husband numerous times over the phone and they fired the salesman that sold me my pool before the installation of the pool. To make things worse they will not honor what was promised and what I was told comes with the pool. All lies!

It has taken them nearly two months to follow through with the delivery and still, they will not honor all the merchandise I purchased for my pool.

When we first called I talked to the secretary and she admitted what I was to get. She said she had ordered everything and thought I had received it when the pool was delivered. Now when they finally make delivery of the wedding cake steps and the Polaris Pool Cleaner that came with the deal made with the salesman (a rep. of this company at the time of purchase) they send me an invoice for yet more money.

Naturally, yes I am angry and I sent them back with the stuff. They tell me they are not responsible for what deal the salesman made with me and that it is not listed on the contract. I was told the Polaris Pool cleaner was part of the pool package and I had a choice of two different types they had. The wedding cake steps was made out to be approved by the salesman through the owner at the time of the deal so long as I paid in full and would return the ladder at the end of the swimming season. This would be fine as I have intentions of putting up a deck.

No, I don't think its right of a company to hire someone to sell their merchandise and make deals the company will not honor. I have two other witnesses what I was to get on this deal and my husband has made several calls and they have admitted to him over the phone that I was to receive this merchandise and that it was paid for. Even when I went to see the owner last Thursday morning he too admitted it was already paid for. Now they want to back out of the deal and charge me yet more money.

The secretary told me over the phone they fired the salesman because of the deals he made. She also said that their were numerous unsatisfied customers coming in about things other customers did not get. I told her too, I had called him a liar after I had to repeatedly call about when my pool would be installed and he kept setting date for installation and they never would show or call.

I don't think they should be allowed to do any further business until they honor the deal made by their salesman, either written or verbal contract.!!!!!!!!!!!

They need to take care of the customers they have contracts with to be sure they are satisfied before they should be allow to take on any more customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will follow up with any reply I may get from this company as to their correction of my claim.
