Consumers beware of the business practices and reputation of a company name Pan American Food & Meat Equipment in San Antonio, Texas. This company has a website: latamalera.com, advertising and selling a Tamale making machines. I returned his Tamale making machine which was problematic from the beginning and he agreed to return my purchased money of $900.00 dollars, but not in one lump sum.

He said he would reimburse my money in 3 monthly installments of $300.00 dollars.  He only made 2 monthly installments of $300.00 dollars and has not reply to my emails to make the last payment of $300.00 dollars. I have tried numerous times to contact him via email and he has not replied to my emails. The owner of this business is Michael Hernandez, 9218 Northchase Boulevard, San Antonio, Texas 78250.

Furthermore, he is making faulty statements on the warranty/guarantee of the Tamale machine. For example, when I was inquiring on this product, he said if I was not satisfied on how this machine operated within a week. I could return the machine and he would return my money, it never happen. I had to file complaints with the BBB and The Attorney General of Texas to get business owner (Michael Hernandez) to reimburse partial payment.

Also, the machine is of poor quality and workmanship. The tamale machine I received had cosmetic defects and screws were missing along with loose front panel coming apart as you will see in the photos attached to this link. I am posting this information to see if anyone else has had problems with this company.

Currently, there are 2 complaint files. One is with the Better Business Bureau of Texas (case# 90210326) and the second file is with The Attorney General of Texas (case# 388155).  If you have had any issues with this business, please reply via email stating in details the experienced you had with this company. I would like to gather information to file under the Deceptive Trade Practices Act.
