Panacer rebate ripoff No $109.00 promised monitor rebate bought at eCost.com after 6 months! City Of Industry California

UPC Code: 829718002201 Amount of rebate: $109.00
Promotion #: G851 Purchased: ECOST

Bought this 17" GEM from eCost at the end of August 2006.

Sent my rebate request by CERTIFIED mail (for further guarantee) to Panacer Int'l Inc.

on 9/25/06 sent my first email to Panacer since their website did not show they received my certified email (although I had the proof they did receive it)

no reply.

On 10/13/06 I sent another email (their website still displaying nothing about my rebate). Finally received reply saying they did receive it, but rebate could take 16 weeks!

Note: When I bought monitor, the rebate time promised was 4-8 weeks.

On 12/14/06 sent another email. Their website finally said they received rebate info. But their status is: "Status: RECEIVED, PLEASE CHECK BACK."

Their reply was the same: "it may take 16 weeks".

Today I just went to their website again and, same story: "Status: RECEIVED, PLEASE CHECK BACK."

Note that today is March 3rd, 2007.

Now really, how long can it possibly take to make out a check to someone after receiving the proper proof of ownership?
