I recently hired on and quit after just one week of being on the road for this company.... They refuse to pay me the state and federal required minimum wage for the time i spent during orientation.  Their excuse is that I was not officially hired on (they purposely leave the signing of the employment contract to the last minute)

Another excuse for not paying me is that according to Elizabeth (last name unknown) the Safety/recruiting officer "we are not going to do something for one driver that we haven't done for anyone else.... "  Which is an admittance that the company is a good candidate for a class action suit which will force them to pay all former personel they have put though orientation without pay.

Below is a Dept of Labor link that not only shows the company is required to pay minimum wage and also defines the definition of 'employ' which clearly states that the plot of not officially employing the individual to justify not paying the wages is nul.
