Panasonic Warranty ripoff issue Kent Washington

I purchased a Panasonic KP-380/KP-150 electric pencil sharpener in December 2006 from Office Depot on line. It worked less than 2 weeks. Office Depot said they will not help me after 14 days & I should contact the manufacturer. I have emailed Panasonic & they have not responded. I have called their number (800-833-9626) on the warranty papers & they referred me to a different number. I called that number (800-973-4326) and was switched around from one department to another. The last department I talked to referred me back to the first number. I am getting nowhere with this company. All I want is for them to send a pick-up slip for return & repair or send me another sharpener. The children in my classroom would very much appreciate their cooperation.
