I bought one machine in July 04. It was delivered in Nov. 04, after several months of trouble with location positioning. It did not come with ads (as we were told it would).

I was recently sent an advtsing pkg to help find myself an ad agency, although they did tell me they would have some ads by the end of Feb. (we'll see, I guess). I talked to the kiosk installer today about hooking up the payphone (the line was to be installed today by the phone co) and was told his company has put all work for Pantheon on hold. He was nice enough to tell me how to hook it up myself.

I'm doing some very hard praying that these people really are trying to pull this out of the hole they are in. If they don't, they will certainly hurt us, we borrowed the money on a promisory note to repay a family trust and the trustee is NOT a nice, understanding person. "God Bless US Everyone!"

You bought into a scam!

I usually don't waste time with the victims anymore, but I'll spend a few minutes to save you from throwing away any more of your hard earned money.

You bought into a fraud. The crooks running this operation intended to defraud you from the very start.

I doubt your machine will work. Other victims report getting non-working junk. Of course, they find this out after they have already paid for a DSL line.

The income won't be what you expect. Few people ever use these machines. You'll have a hard time even paying the cost of the internet connection, much less making any kind of a profit. People typically report incomes of less than $50 a month.

Who would place ads on an internet kiosk? It's not exactly a high-traffic area. People who use the machines typically are checking email. Also, they're on a limited time allowance. They go right to their mail, not sit there and read ads.

Despite all your hopes and prayers, I'd advise you not to sink another penny into this. If you doubt what I'm telling you, read accounts from other victims here. They all lost money. You will too. The best thing you can do is dump the machine off to another buyer. At least you'll get a few bucks back.

I feel sorry for you people. I really do. The problem is that you didn't learn the normal lessons that most people learn when they are young. You were told not to trust strangers, right? This is exactly what happens when you ignore that.

Did you bother to go see one of these kiosks before you invested? Of course not! If you did, you would have sat there for hours and seen that nobody was using the machine.

I used to write in and try to explain things to the victims. But, now I realize that they have to learn the hard way. Normal people already know not to trust what strangers tell them. Especially when big money is involved. Hopefully, you'll finally learn this lesson. You need to understand that people will cheat you if you give them the chance.

I guess you understand all this now. Try not to ever get cheated like this again. The best way to do that is to mind your own business and not go out looking for a business to buy. Stick to your job and leave the business world to people with more understanding of how to set up a business for themselves.

In business, it's best to stay out if you don't know what you're doing. The world is filled with fraud just waiting to steal money from naive beginners. Trusting people who believe whatever strangers tell them are the prime targets for these rip-offs. The victims never end up with a business, just a very expensive lesson on the foolishness of trusting strangers.
