In March of 2012 I went to the Miami Home Show and met Tom Conrad with Paragon Constrction who seemed very professional and was interested on updating my storm shutters

On April 20, 2012 , I contracted with Paragon Construction to have clear hurricane shutters installed on my home giving them a $1500 initial deposit.  Mr Conrad assured me that the shutters could be installed by June 1, 2012.

After not hearing from them I called Paragon Construction at the beginning of June and spoke with a lady who said that someone will be out the next day to measure for the shutters.  I did not hear from anyone at Paragon Construction for the rest of the month.

On July 2, 2012 and again on July 6, 2012 (by now I'm am documenting any contact with Paragon Construction) I called and had to leave voice messages as no one answered the phone.  I requested a call back leaving 2 cell phone numbers concerning my order.

By July 27, 2012, having still not heard from Paragon I called for the third time.  This time I couldn't leave a message a their answering machine was full and not accepting any more messages.  I then sent Paragon Construction a Certified Letter ( I also mailed a copy of the letter regular first class mail) explaining that I had lost faith in thier company and did not wish to have them install any shutters on my home.

The Certified Letter was returned to me unclaimed on August 15, 2015 (the first class letter should have been left in thier P O Box). By this time I have contacted my legal aid and had them also send a letter to Paragon Construction.  That letter was sent on October 3, 2012.

Finally, on November 8, 2012, Jeff Strump called me concerning my contract.  After a confusing and conflicting conversation, claiming that both Rick and Tom Conrad had stolen from his company, to not having any knowledge as to what was happening within his own company. Mr Strump graciously offered to return $1000 of my initial $1500 deposit.  I do not believe that I should have to pay any amount because of the slipshod way Mr. Strump runs his company.

I am still adamant about having my initial $1500 returned to me even if it means suing this company at small claims court.
