Complaint Review: PARAMAX

I was approached in an industrial park by two 30 - 40 year old white males with the same story as other reports - went to pick up the 2 systems and got four, the boss would take the systems is they returned to the shop with the extra systems - what would you give me, ATM limit, all the same scam lines.  There was a Teamsters decal in the windshield and decals in the back window from OCEAN TOWNSHIP - New Jersey.

The guy went through the routine - opened the box, showed the speakers - pulled out the "buyers guide" and kept running through the routine.  Offered to follow to an ATM to get cash.

In the end I walked on the deal - it was fishy.  But I did write down the Name and Model when I got in my truck and looked up the info when I got home to Virginia - and found these reports.

For the folks in South Jersey - watch out for 2 WHITE MALES - 30 - 40.  One is large and tall (6'-0" - 250 - 275 LBS) and shaved bald with large eyes and black bussy eyebrows.  The other is tall and thin, bushy hair and mustache.  RED late model JEEP Cherokee with NJ Tags with black interior - Ocean Township Parking Sticker in Left Rear - Teamsters Member decal in lower right windshield.  Both men are dressed extra casual - the larger one in Crocs.  Both are friendly - and both are quick with the hard sell closing. 

I assumed that the product was stolen property, once I saw the Teamster Decal in the window.  It was not until I saw reports here that I suspected a more organized scam.

The other tip to me was the appearence of a price next to a UPC barcode.  You would see that on a "store produced" UPC barcode - but not next to a manufacturer's barcode.
