When I got a new debit card, the expiration date changed, and I didn't realize Riviera Fitness Club's accounting company Paramount Acceptance wasn't taking my $20 fee for a couple months until I got a nasty letter in the mail saying it was in "Collections" for non payment. What a joke! I was using the gym a few times a week, and not once did anyone say anything about it.

Then, all of a sudden they're treating me like I'm some dirtbag trying to get out of paying my whopping 20 bucks a month. Give me a break. I spoke with the company, and they were so rude I hung up. Needless to say, I tried to cancel my contract to no avail. It was a horrible experience, and it could have been averted with a courtesy call the first month they couldn't access my account. Instead, they lost a few customers to Pensacourt (I told everyone I knew not to use Riviera).

Also, the gym equipment was outdated, and the treadmills were always breaking down. The instructors for the classes weren't that great either, except for the spinning. It's been a couple years since I was there, so these issues might have changed.

Hopefully, this email catches someone before they make the mistake of signing up for this gym.
