Parceltoyou Did Not Pay Me What they Promised California

I got an email from this company back in October 2017 stating that they seen my resume online and wanted to offer me a work from home position.  They asked me to view the job details and if I felt like it was something I would be interested in I should fill out an applicaiton.  They job was for me to get packages in the mail and to print out the pre-paid labels and ship the packages, sound easy right? I was told to contact their payroll to let them know how I would like to get my payment, there was an option to get a check, or direct deposit.  I picked direct deposit because I knew that if they could pay me direct deposit then this job was legit and real.  I was told that I would be on 30 day probation to see if I worked well with the company, then after that I would get a payment of $2150.00 and if and when I was hired on full time I would have a monthly pay of $2250.00.  Now I should have known that sounded too good to be true, but I gave it a chance anyway.

There was a number I could call that said the company's name when you call, my manager was in contact with me every day, things seem to be going as planned.  I did shipments for this company for about a month and I was suppose to get my first payment on November 24, because my probation period started on the day I shipped the first package, which was October 24.  I noticed after shipping the last few packages there wasn't anymore packages being put on the system I was given to log into every day.  So at first I just thought that they were running behind and that they would put more packages on the system. On the 24 of November I waiting all day to see if I was going to get a direct deposit from this company, after waiting and realizing that no payment was coming I contacted the company via email.  When they did reply to my email they told me that the system has shut down and that they were unable to process direct deposits.  So at that point I thought to myself "What a coincidence that this would happen on suppose to be payday".  They told me to wait a few days and things would be back running and I would get my payment, they told me they couldn't do direct deposits because their back account had been compromised.

When I did get an email from them again they told me that things was not running well and asked me if I wanted to be paid direct deposit or by check, and I said direct deposit again because at this point I'm thinking this is all a scam, because why would this just happen when it's time to pay me?  Why didn't this happen when this company was shipping items to my home, but it happens when it's time to pay me?  After me telling them I still wanted direct deposit, they seem like they agreed.  The following week I contacted payroll once again and I was told that a check was mailed to me anyway, even though I didn't ask for a check and I asked for direct deposit.  They claimed they mailed a check to me on December 4 2017, and here it is now December 14 2017 and no check has shown up as of yet.  I asked could they cancel the check that they said was sent to me and send me my payment direct deposit, western union, or moneygram.   They never answered the question, but they did say that they cannot/ couldn't cancel the check.  How can a company not cancel a check is my question?  All they had to do was call the bank and give them the check number and ask the bank to cancel that check because it is lost.  They emailed me on Tuesday December 12 2017 telling me that they cannot cancel the check once again and that they could send me another check.  First of all why would you send me another check when the check you claimed you sent to me never made it to me?  Second how are you going to send me another company's check without canceling the other check that's missing?  Once again I asked them could my payment be sent to me by western union or moneygram, and they never answered me.  Till this day I have now gotten an answer from payroll.  This company is a joke and they are full of games.

If you ever get a email from someone claiming they work for a shipping company and they want to offer you a work from home job take it from me it is all a scam.  They are just going to make you think what they want you to think to  make you ship the packages, and when it's time to pay you they are either going to disappear, not pay you, give you the run arounds about getting your payment or all of the above.  Today I also got on their website and did a chat with one of the agents.  I told the agent that I think someone is running a shipping scam using their company's name and information.  The agent asked me what this was about and I told him this is about me working for this company doing shippment and not getting paid.  He asked me for my information so that someone can contact me, and never said another work other than "Someone will contact you soon".  I still haven't heard nothing from payroll since Tuesday and today is Thursday December 14 2017.  Also my manager was suppose to be a lady names Becky Schaffner, I tried calling her last week and realized that she has blocked my number from calling her phone.  I know she blocked my number because when I call from my phone to hers the phone does  a half ring and then goes to voicemail, but if I call from another number it just rings.  Anytime you call this company no one ever answers the phone, and you can't get no one to answer, all you can do is leave a message for nobody to even call you back.  Take it from me all of these shipping jobs are nothing but scams.

Hey guys,

I have also fell victim to these people. I was supposed to be paid on 1/2/18 and they aren't paying me either. I have filed complaints with my local authorities and on 1c3 . gov with the FBI, also my local Department of Workforce Development, Consumer Protection in CA (800-422-7128) and have emailed all my documentation to the Federal Trade Commission in CA (877-382-4357), reference # 91512230. I sent copies of all the emails and photos of packages and other information I thought may be helpful for their investigation. I am also seeking legal advice. If this has happened to enough of us, may be we can file a class action law suit against these people. How dare them waste a month of our time. I quit my full time job to do this and pulled my daughter out of daycare, and now I am in a pickle trying to pay my bills and food for my kids. Seriously, lets get these people caught! Please feel free to contact me via email if you would like more info. hmevancy @ hotmail . com

My Reply to Paypal Credit

#15Author of original report

I did start getting mail from Paypal in someone else's name but with my address on it, and I notice I started getting those mail after I started working for the.  However I never gave them my ssn and I even covered up my ID numbers on my ID while send a copy to them.  As far as the letters I called paypal and told them that I got a letter for someone else that doesn't live at my address, and they told me to just write (Return to sender) on it  and put it back in the mail.  So every time I got a letter like that I just wrote on it (Return to sender) until they stopped coming.  They had the write address, but the wrong name of the person to my address.  So I'm not sure what that was about, they can't get any credit in my name or anything else because I didn't give them all the information that they were looking for.

I was scammed as well! Did you receive letters from PayPal credit addressed to parceltoyou sales agents at your address? I wonder if they were trying to get credit with PayPal using my social security number. Haven't seen anything on my credit reports. Thanks.

Getting a lawyer reply

#15Author of original report

I honestly think we all should report this supposed to be company to the FBI fraud department. Scamming people is fraud and deception. It is against the law to have worked for a company and not be paid. This company is never going to pay anyone because there was never no intentions to pay anyone, which is why they made us wait 30 days so we can ship everything they wanted shipped within 30 days. Do not expect any checks from this company because it’s probably going to be fake/fraudulent check. That means if you go and try to cash that check you’re either going to be told that the check is not real, or they will let you cash it and when that check doesn’t clear you’re going to be on the hook paying back that money. I haven’t heard anything else from these people and I don’t want to, but I am reporting them to the FBI and online fraud claims. I would tell about this company on any platform I could so no one else waste 30 days of their life’s that they won’t get back for nothing. If anything happens with the information that you gave to them you know exactly where it’s coming from. These jobs are scams, they are getting these items with stolen credit cards and/or stolen information. So if anything happens the police shows up at your house because that’s where the packages were going. I keep wondering why would they need to send the packages to me when there is UPS USPS, and FEDEX. It’s because those packages are stolen items. If you work for this company or any company like this one shipping packages, do yourself a favor and stop shipping those packages. If you are think about working for this company don’t waste your time, it’s a total complete scam. THEY WILL NOT PAY YOU AT ALL.

Not paid either

#15UPDATE Employee

Wed, December 27, 2017

The end of my 30 days was on Dec. 8, and I have not been paid either. My story is verbatim to everyone else's. I am just sorry that I was fool enough to give them sensetive personal info. I am considering contacting a lawyer after this terrible experience. I'm just not sure if it would be worth my time and effort.

Suggestions?

I Misunderstood that I Thought I Misunderstood

#15Author of original report

Thu, December 21, 2017

On December 15 2017 I wrote a update about this company and I titled it I MISUNDERSTOOD only because this wanna be company was threatning to sue me for slander.  After I posted this update I thought about it for a while and I realized that they cannot sue me if I did a job for them and they haven't paid me and never had intentions on paying me.  It's been a month coming this Saturday and I still haven't been paid, however I did get am email telling me that their legal department has started a case against me for slander, mind you this is payroll emailing me this and not their legal department.  They told me that they canceled the last check they sent to me, but the week before they told me they couldn't cancel the check that was sent to me the first time.  First of all if your bank account was having problems then how were you able to send me a check?  Also how can you send me another check when you claimed you couldn't cancel the first check?  They wanted me to take my report down and I contacted the support team of ripoff.com, and thank God they have a policy that they don't take down reports because I don't want no one else to fall victim to this scam.  They told me that the slander was when I called the company a scam, well correct me if I am wrong somebody, but when you do a job and you are told you are going to get paid and when time comes to get paid the system shuts down and everybody disappears and you're not paid isn't that what you call a scam?

I was told by payroll that my repost has caused a vast effect and they are getting many emails from customers and employees about my report.  I then told them that if that is the case that means that those employees and customers probably was already thinking something was right about this company to get on ripoff.com and find my report.  I was then told that they have loyal customers and employees and that they were asking questions about my report.  If you have loyal customers and employees then they shouldn't be asking about what they already know.  Loyalty means that they have been with you for a while and know how you work and how you don't work, so why would they be concerned about my report if they don't have a problem?  I was told that because I said ugly things about the company that nobody wants to be associated with a company that's had ugly things said about the company, I told them that they were right about that, but nobody wants to be associated with a company that doesn't pay them either.  I knew if I hadn't been paid there are more people who haven't been paid either.  Someone commented to my report today and said that they were scammed by this company also and that they were doing shippments around November 24 and after, and when it was time to pay them they also got an email saying that their bank account was compromised and that they couldn't process direct deposit.  That mean while they were telling me the system was down because I couldn't login anymore, they locked me out of the system, and that would explain why they date of the website to be repaired keeps changing every day.

I haven't heard anything else from this company and they haven't heard anything else from me yet.  I am never falling for another work from home shipment scam again, and I advice anyone that if you get an email offering you a job to ship goods from home to just look somewhere else for a job, because you are going to be disappointed and let down, meanwhile they will have everything that you've shipped.  I promise you those packages when somewhere that they could get their hands on them.  There no reason for a real company to hire people to do shippments from home when there is UPS, FEDEX, USPS to do all the shipping.  If they want to try in sue me let them take their best shot, because I have every emial between me and everybody printed out.  LET'S GO!!

All I can say at this point is WOW!!  So this wanna be company is doing this to everybody? I knew I wasn't the only one that they were doing this way. I have to say that I did find something very strange when the system shut down the day I was to get a payment.  On my update I must say that I lied because this company was threatning to sue me for slander because of my report.  After talking to my brother is is a lawyer he informed me that nobody can sue me when I did a job and they didn't pay me, if anything I have grounds to sue this company for nun-payment for my work, breach of employment agreement because I didn't agree to be pay by a check even though the check never got here, I can also sue them for deception.  I am and was fully aware that they cannot sue me for slander if I did a job and I wasn't paid for the job that I did.  I wasn't going to except any check for payment because before I started I was asked how I wanted to be pay and I specifically asked for direct deposit.  This is really said that people think that they can do anything and get away with it and expect no one to say something about it.  You are right I think it is a bigger scam that they are running, after I started with them I started seeing videos on Youtube of people shipping packages from home and those items were being bought with stolen information and/or credit cards.   I sent them an email saying I didn't want to do the job, be Becky convenience me that they were not that kind of company.  She also asked me to send her the videos that I seen on Youtube, now it makes sense why she didn't have a reply when I asked her did she get the videos.

I'm not expecting no payment from this because I don't believe at this point that this is even a company.  I feel like this is one person behind all of this and everything that is being shipped is being shipped to them or someone that they know.  Either way it's all a joke.

Scammed 2!

Everything you said in your first report is true, Tammi. They can't sue for slander when you tell the truth. I fell victim to the scam as well. I can tell you they were processing orders after November 24th because I was receiving shipments during that time. Then a couple weeks ago when I was to be paid, they sent me the same email saying their Bank of America account had been compromised. After giving them the three days to fix it, they said they couldn't process the direct deposit but could send a check. Needless to say I haven't received any payment and won't be expecting one.

The company is a joke. I am sure they have a bigger scam going with the packages as what did they get out of me? A month of unpaid work, that's it.

Live and learn.

I Misunderstood

#15Author of original report

After talking to this company I have to say that I made a mistake reporting this compnay.  I mistunderstood what was going on with this company.  Because there are so many scams out there in the world  and I've been scammed a few time now I just think that everything is a scam.  However I have to update this report because I want to give criedt to those companies that are legit and real.  Parceltoyou is a legit company and anyone that think that my report makes them look bad or if you think bad about this company, then you are just as dumb as I was while writing this report.  I was to apologize the Parceltoyou for any damage this my report may have caused and how that they can forgive me.  After writing this report I don't blame them for canceling my check because I did something without thinking which is and was dumb on my part, and I would have done the same thing.  I am very sorry for this report because I should have just waited a while longer to hear from them.  Anyone who get's hired to work for this company would be lucky to be apart of this company, and please if you do get hired don't do what I did and think that the company is a fake company because this is a real company that hires workers from home.  It's not their fault that things when wrong and they weren't able to pay like they normally do.  Things happen out of people's control, but you have to be patient and let them work things out.  Please don't make the mistake that I made.
