ParetoLogic Sold software that does not work. Victoria British Columbia
I purchased the Xoftspy computer software from Paretologic. It was advertised to remove the "SillyDI DJM" trojan virus from my computer. After running the software, the virus still remained on my computer. Since they do not provide a tech support phone number, I emailed them and received a response 3 days later. I sent them the "log file". Another 3 days later I received the "patch" to remove the virus. The patch removed my TCP/IP protocols from my computer, but not the virus. I now had no internet access and a computer that still contained a virus. After 2 days of working I was able to restore internet access to the computer. During that time I sent them an email from another computer notifying them of the problem. ONE WEEK later I received another email asking for the log files and the promise of another patch. NO THANK YOU!! Each email I asked them to provide a technical support phone number with no response to the request.
