Complaint Review: Park Hill Exxon

I went into Park Hill Exxon and informed the attendant and mechanic on duty that I had a problem with the a/c in my automobile. He immediately said, "you need freeon" without even looking. So i told him that I had freeon put in one week prior so there must be another problem. His next response was, "well maam you have a leak. Bring your car up here in the morning and we will run dye through it to find the leak." I said thank you and left.

The next morning my brother in law took my car back to Park Hill Exxon and they told him they found the problem: I needed my a/c system recharged and more freeon and it would be $161.31. I felt relieved that the problem would be fixed. However the very same evening the air was blowing warm again. I went back to Park HIll Exxon Monday evening after work and was told to bring the car back the next morning. When i took my car back, my brother in law received a call stating i had a crack in my condenser and it would be $784.00 to get if repaired. I was outdone because after all, the problem was supposed fixed the first time.

SO not only was I facing $784 in new charges but I just paid $161 for something that did not correct the problem. I was told that when I brought the vehicle in, it was very small leak but once they loaded it with freeon the leak enlarged and a hole developed. So basically after they worked on the car, that's when the large leak occurred. I was basically screwed out of $161. I paid $161 for 1lb of freeon and that makes absolutely no sense. What's even worse is I called a dealership and was able to get the same part, including labor and freeon for $660! Can we say RIPOFF!!!! Needless to say, I will NEVER go back to Park Hill Exxon on JFK!!!
