I collect classic cars, and was in the market to buy a used "family" car to save miles on my classics and have a vehicle that I could travel in with my family wihout any worries.I researched several cars that I could afford online and found 2 that were local and in my price range. I called Park Mazda about 2 Mazda 626's.. one a 1998 V6 with 104,000 miles for 6140.00 ( stated ad price ) the other a 2000 4Cyl. with 82,000 for 6600.00 ( stated sale price ). They were more than happy to get me into the dealership to see the cars and drive them before "they were gone".

The next day I went with my husband to look at the cars and after finding problems with the 4Cyl, decided to test drive the V6. I really liked the car and decided I would purchase the vehicle. ( to let you know where the story goes bad, the internet ad did not state that we needed to print out the ad to make the price valid ) The salesman, whom we will call "Craig", made every attempt to sell me on how good of a deal I was getting on this "immaculate" Mazda. Reality is this car had dings and dents all over it and the paint was severly scratched, still for the 6140.00 price, I figured it wasnt a big deal. He agreed to put 4 new tires, worth 30 dollars a piece on the vehicle.

When writing up the papers he put down a purchase price of 6640.00 not the sale price in the ad of 6140.00. It was a saturday, so the banks were closed, the financing couldnt go through..thank goodness!! I gave them a 100.00 check to hold for the purchase, on suggestion of the salesman. He told me to put "DO NOT CASH, FOR CAR HOLDING DEPOSIT ONLY" on the check.

The next day I realized that something shady was going on and I did not want the car, the salesman got very nasty with me on the phone, stating that I had no idea what I was talking about, the paper in front of him had the correct price and if I did not buy from the dealership I was making a big mistake and would only get a junk vehicle. I told him I would be in to get my check and before I got there it was cashed and deposited in the dealerships account. He then admitted to knowing the price but thought I would be happy with such a great deal on the "lot" price. I told him I found a different car and needed my 100.00 back, after more arguing with me about why I had to buy the car from him, he reluctantly had a dealership check written out for me.

I am still getting phone calls from this salesman everyday about changing my mind and coming back to purchase this vehicle. I found a newer model with more options and lower miles from a small dealer 2 hours away and I am tired of being harassed by Park Mazda.
