Complaint Review: Park West Galleries

My wife and I were on our Honeymoon Cruise back in January of 2006 on Radisson Cruise Lines. The last night of our cruise we decided to buy a painting that we liked as a memory of our honeymoon. We don't care about appraised value of the art work or anything like that because we weren't planning on selling it anyways.
We finally received a package from Park West this week (03/29/2006) and were extremely excited because it has taken so long to arrive.

Mind you we've been paying our monthly installments ever since we got off the boat but haven't been able to enjoy our painting. The box looked smaller than the size of the painting we bought so I already had sensed something was wrong. We opened it a little just to peek inside and we saw it was the WRONG painting! Same artist just different work.

We called to tell them about their mistake and the CSR was very apologetic but asked if we wanted to keep that painting instead? What are you crazy? I want what I paid for! They scheduled a pick-up for this Monday and then I receive an e-mail from Park West asking me to pick a frame for my painting? You mean to tell me they haven't even framed my art work?

I go on-line to try to view the painting and compare it to the frames that were provided and that is when I came accross this site. Son of a motherless goat! I wish I would've seen this site before ever even going on my cruise. But before the cruise I had never even heard of Park West.

Now I am scared to give them back this painting before we receive ours because who knows if we'll ever receive the one we wanted. I just want my painting! Who cares if they get the frame wrong (they probably will), I just want my painting. Will keep you posted if I ever receive this painting. All I have to say is that this SUCKS! I wish I would've bought another painting we liked at the Wyland gallery in the Keys. >=(
