Complaint Review: Partners in Grime Cleaning

I contacted Lisa via Craigslist explaining our house was in need of a deep clean. We have not had a housekeeper before, so while our home wasn't dirty, the little things such as the baseboards and ceiling fans had been neglected. Lisa canceled on us last minute 3 times due to illness. Normally, I would understand that things happen, but after reading other reviews with the same thing happening, I realized this is her usual MO.

When she finally did arrive, she immedately tried to increase the price on me, and only agreed to keep it as if if we didn't include some of the rooms in the service. It wasn't a huge deal to me since some of the rooms weren't used anyway, but she was "whiny" about it and I didn't appreciate it. 

She continued to complain. She complained about everything - the fact that she found a small spider while cleaning (this is Arizona in the summer what do you expect?) and stating several times how much we were in need of a deep clean. I KNOW. That's why we hired you! She also kept saying "this is a big job". I found it very unprofessional that she felt the need to make me feel guilty about the job. That's what I'm paying you for. Also, let me just state again my home was not dirty! I live in a beautiful home in a nice area - it was just due for a cleaning as all homes are from time to time!

I quickly realized Lisa was basically making all these comments as justification as to why the job wasn't done well. For example, I have hard water build up on my shower and she didn't even TRY to get it off. She basically just said there was nothing she could do. My new housekeeper got all the hardwater off in ONE visit and it was just a "regular" cleaning for a fraction of the cost.

Lisa also didn't vaccuum the couch, dust the ceiling fans or blinds, whipe down the base boards, whipe down the sliding glass door, or dust under the beds. There was a lot more she missed but there are some exmaples. How can she possibly classify that as a deep clean!? I honestly feel so stupid that I didn't push back, but I was shocked - I handed her the money and she left. 

I'm very disappointed in the service and because of her attitude during the cleaning, knew it would be pointless to try and get a refund, and I definately didn't want her back in my home to re-do the job. I just cut my losses and found someone much much better. I just want to warn anyone else, do not hire her! You're totally wasting your money. I wish I would have just rolled up my sleeves and spent 5 hours cleaning that day.
