Party City Return Policy Rip-Offs Alpharetta Georgia
I purchased costume items for a Band Program on 10/25. I had to return some of the them on 10/31. Apparantly their return policy changed on 10/25 for what they considered "Halloween items". They would only issue store credit good at the issuing store only. Thinking ahead to my son's 18th birthday in Feb and our two May graduations, I accepted $89.82 in store credit.
Went shopping at this store on 2/7. Was purchasing about $30 of items. When I handed my store credit receipt, I was told I had to use it all at once. This is not stated on the receipt nor anywhere visible in the store I could see.
Seems they change the policy at whim to take advantage of customers.

I had sent a general email thru the "contact us" capability on Party City's website. Maybe that helped get the attention of someone.

I received a call from Bill of Party City who explained this was not handled appropriately by the store. He said they have reeducated every employee in the store on the proper policies. I was instructed to go into the store, ask for the GM, and I would receive full refund on the original return and what I had to purchase out-of-pocket. I was pleasantly surprised and very grateful.
