To begin with, the car broke down in my first week of ownership. Not just any break down - it stalled while driving at highway speeds, nearly causing an accident.

I brought it to Passport for service. I picked it up 3 days later. As I drove it from the dealership, it broke down again, at highway speeds, again nearly causing an accident (imagine driving approximately 65 mph, and your car simply dies - other cars swerving to get around you. Barely getting it to the shoulder without being hit from behind. Waiting in the cold.) I called and was told by Passport BMW to call BMW service, which told me it would be 90 minutes to pick me up and tow me.

I called Passport again, and they were "good" enough to send a local tow truck. Now within a week and a half, this car almost got me in two accidents - the car stalled at high speeds on multiple occasions. I asked for another vehicle of comparable value - still willing to shell out my money, only wanting a car that wouldn't kill me. I was told no, that Passport would fix it and I had no recourse other than accepting a car that almost caused two accidents.

Now the car's convertivble top doesn't work, which means I have to go back to Passport to have that fixed.

My last car (a Pontiac!) had far fewer problems and cost a whole heck of a lot less. Even after all these problems, Passport BMW and BMW of North America have done nothing other than tell me to bring the car back in for service.

DO NOT BUY CARS FROM PASSPORT BMW OF MARLOW HEIGHTS, MD!!!
