Patent & Trademark Institute Of America I'd like to strangle them with the imaginary sheets that never got invented RIPOFF Roslyn Heights New York
In October 2004, my husband and I had come up with an idea for an invention. After remembering seeing a commercial, we decided to contact PTI at www.InventorsHelpline.com.
A week later we where contacted by Steve Bach from PTI.
Who informed us that our invention idea was going to make us millions of dollars.
After speaking to Mr. Bach we where skeptical, so we researched his name and PTI on the internet, that they where repitable.
At that time we could not find any false information about the company or their representatives.
After speaking to Mr. Bach a second time, he convinced us to spend 1,195 dollars on a confidential inventor assessment agreement.
We received our inventor portfolio which contained a bunch of crap; marketing ability, product summary, concept introduction, priminarly patent search, the inventions industry and 3-D graphics.
After receiving the portfolio and reading it thoroughly we spoke to Mr. Bach a third time, to which he urged us to spend extra money and apply for a copyright and patent.
Copyrights and patents are VERY expensive. The average middle class person cannot afford to pay 9,975 dollars for a U.S. Patent application. And 1,995 dollars for a U.S. Trademark-Copyright. Not to mention the 14,475 dollars international patent pending application.
Luckily we where smart enough not to be suckered into the international patent pending application.
As for the previous 2 we agreed too.
After sending the money for the U.S. patent application and copyright. We where suppose to have received a patent lawyer, a copyright--to which was refused by the Library of Congress.
And new graphic art-previously did not approve.
And we where also suppose to have our idea showcased at PTI's tradeshows. To which we had one response to which it ended up being a fake company.
After contacting PTI concerning the patent lawyer and new art work, we where told that the lawyer would be in touch with us, and the art work would be on it's way.
It's sad that when people are struggling to make it, to confide in a company to help make their dreams come true. They use us to line their own pockets and the rest of us is broke.
Would like the opportunity to get our money back, plus the interest we had to pay on the loan, to apply for this in the first place.
If I had one good thing to say about PTI and Mr. Steve Bach, Thanks for helping out our credit rating. We are paying on a loan with nothing to show for it. Nothing but a good idea that the world may never see.
