My husband was placed on title 10 orders and we gave notice to terminate our lease in accordance to the servicemembers relief act, which protects families and soliders. After visits to the JAG (military lawyers) along with letters outlining the act, the landlords still decided to put a false debt on our credit report.

They claimed we were suppose to pay back relator fees, their utilities bills (even though the bills in our name had a zero balance). They suggested that since he was in the reserves and returning back to Arizona, I wasn't covered as the dependent.

Even after the JAG officer wrote a 2 page letter to the landlord and the credit agency, National Credit systems, they ignored it and allowed a collection of 2188 to show up on our account.

We are actually due money back from from the landlord and that was outlined in the letter from the JAG officer as well.

While the solider is fighting for our country, we have people who are trying to make life harder for us and the families. We go through enough daily without having to deal with bogus claims.
