Patriot Loans Financial This company tried to take me for $787.50 but I was not fooled! Baltimore Maryland
Patriot Loans Financial called me and stated that I was approved for a $5000 loan @ 8.5% interest with a monthly payment of $157.50. This offer sounded great as I was indeed in need of a low interest loan - the bad news is, they wanted $787.50 up front in order to get the loan - all I could think of was the 419 Scams. Anyway, I had them fax the loan agreement to my local UPS store (cost me $5.00!) After reading the loan agreement, it looked legitimate, but they wanted me to fax back a copy of my driver's license, my bank statement, my paystub and the signed agreement. This seemed a little shady as I had asked the so called loan agent: "Nicole Bailey" for further info and why I had to send the $787.50; she stated that it was because of my bad credit rating?!?!?! I've never even heard of Patriot Loans Financial until the day that I got the call stating that I was approved. After many excuses were made, including making the upfront amount less, etc., I called them back the next day and asked for a supervisor/manager - after leaving several voice messages, no one has contacted me since!! I have looked up the name Patriot Loans Financial on the Internet; no listing, just more Rip-Off reports from other folks getting the same info that I have mentioned above.
Furthermore, there is no listing in the Maryland phone/address directory for this company - the fax number is a landline located in Gaithersburg, MD - the address on the loan agreement is Baltimore, MD. In conclusion, I just want to know if anyone can tell me if this is indeed a legit company; if not, they need to be prosecuted as frauds!! Thanks

It is ILLEGAL for any loan company to ask for an advance fee.
