PAUL, Hewlitt-Packard Sales Manager..... BS + Bait 'n Switch = HP Internet
I needed technical repairs for my HP desktop, so I called HP and was connected to PAUL, sales manager.
He repeatedly tried to sell a deal to me for tech repairs that would cost "ONLY $65 for the WHOLE year!"
I kept telling him that I did not want it, and I kept trying to hang up my phone.
In a last, desperate effort, PAUL told me that he would include my ASUS laptop (which also needed repair), for the SAME price "ONLY $65 for the WHOLE year."
(which I repeated to him to make sure I understood what he was telling me.)
It seemed too good to be true, but I took the bait!
When I received my credit card statement, it not only reflected the $65, but also an additional $14.99 TWICE!! for additional monthly payments...which would continue for the remainder of the year!
One $14.99 was in addition to the $65, and the other was for my laptop!!
I called Customer Service, repeated what PAUL said to me...and I was credited $14.99 twice, the cost of my so-called included laptop deal.
However, I still have to pay in addition to the $65, $14.99 each month for my desktop...while my laptop remains useless.
Simply put: HP does NOT stand behind their sales managers gimmicks!
