Paul's TV Sold me a TV and failed to stand behind what they sold me 6 months later Reading, Massachusetts
I purchased a 46" flat screen 1080p TV from this store in June of 2009. Less than 6 months later the TV was malfunctioning. I spoke to an individual at the store who gave me the number to customer service in CA and stated if I'm not satisfied to contact the Reading store and they will "figure something out." I went to the store and they were arrogant and not helpful and the told me there is nothing they can do for me.

Please notice the last section of my paragraph which describes the manner by which I was treated when I spoke to the "gentleman" who sold me my TV. The salesperson in the store did not even offer to contact customer service for me and actually told me there's nothing he can do for me. This is completely unprofessional...especially for a company that just established its roots in MA. I also had problems with Paul's delivery and issues when I initially called customer service in CA.

Unless you purchased some sort of extended warranty from the store, no retail establishment will be willing or able to help you outside of their normal return policy.
All TVs come with a manufacturer warranty of some sort, all you had to do when purchased was send them a little card to activate. Even if you didn't though, if you have the receipt, they still may be able to help. Give them a call and see.
It's a little ridiculous to be upset at the retailer at this point though. Yes, they should stand by their product 100%...but only for the duration of their return policy or the duration of any additional in-store warranty you purchased. After that, you're on your own and rightfully so. They can't offer free replacement/repair forever! If that's what you expect, then take it from an unbiased third party...you're being unreasonable.
I know it stinks that you got a bum TV, but if worked for 6 months, then it's most certainly the manufacturers fault/problem at this point, not the retailer. I think your ripoff report is targeted at the wrong party.
