Paula Crawford - Leaning Birch Stables And Kennel Took my 1500.00 and I did not get the animals nor a refund Ledyard Connecticut
She (Paula Crawford) advertised a blue & white pied French bulldog male pup on puppyfind and another site (but I responded to the puppyfind ad). When I responded to her ad, she emailed me back to let me know that she not only had the male pup that she had advertised, but also his blue & white pied sister. She requested that I send her 1500.00 as a deposit to hold the pair when they were 3 1/2 weeks old and the balance was due at 8 weeks and we were going to drive out and come and get them in person. When I asked for updated photos at 7 weeks to make sure we were still on track(and that she actually had these puppies - and was not importing them, or did not steal the original pictures from someone else) - she ignored me for a few days, then when I re-emailed her - she gave me some excuses about unexpected C-sections, ect keeping her too busy but she would try to get new pics to me in a day or two. Ten (10) days after not hearing from her and NO new pictures - I requested a refund, as it was getting obvious to me that I was being scammed. I live 21 hrs 1 way from her. I feel that this distance gives her comfort in taking my money. To this day - I have not received an updated photo, nor a refund, and she keeps telling me she will send me a refund when I send her my info and I remove the paypal dispute. What a joke of an excuse - all my info was included with my paypal payments of 1500.00 in deposit. She continues to advertise this pup (with the same picture old picture) and other puppies, horses, riding lessens ect.

I do know Paula Crawford and have first hand knowledge that her Great Dane puppies are born in a pen in her garage where they stay until some one buys them. They never go into her house so how ever yours got hosebroke is a mystery. All Paula does with them is clean their pen and feed them, thats it! When her dogs are no longer able to produce litter after litter or she finds that they have physical problems that will cost her money she unloads them onto poor unsuspecting people who have horses at her barn or take lessons there. They take the animal home only to find out at their first Vet visit that the animal has serious health problems and end up paying thousands of dollars to keep them alive. She doesn't name them because she can't be bothered, they are money to her not animals and not pets. I am willing to bet that it was Paula Crawford herself that wrote the above report.

I bought a Great dane puppy from Paula. She is a breeder of great danes, french bulldogs and english bulldogs. She is not a kennel as she has a pair of each breed. I have met all her dogs, friendly, beautiful, healthy. I do NOT know Paula as a person, as I bought a puppy from her and have had nothing but wonderful things to say. I would recommend her to any friends and family I have. My puppy came home 80% potty trained and knowing her sit command. I brought her to my vet and he says she is an awesome example of the breed. My great dane puppy is the happiest, healthiest puppy I could have gotten. paula has a great environment for these pups. I put a deposit down when my pup was 3 weeks old. Paula recommended that at 6 weeks I visit for both the benefit of me and the puppy. She puts so much time into her puppies... she flat out told me, she can't name or nickname the pups, or it'll hurt her too much to see them go! Wonderful breeder. My pup's b-day was 1-27-10. OK... she gives a LIFETIME GENETIC GUARANTEE! Do you know what that means? That means that she is so confident in her dogs genetics, she'll guarantee your puppy for LIFE! Not 72 hours like some breeders. I'm sorry... once again.. I DO NOT KNOW Paula. At all... but I love my Ruby-doo and I'll recommend her to anyone!

I just filed a report on Paula as well. She took our $450 deposit 2+ years ago and haven't seen the money nor the dog. We have won a small claims court decision against her and are currently pursuing the money. If you have any info you'd like to share with us please let us know via the forum here. Thanks
