"Alena” (Pauline Cooper) promised to help me heal from a breakup, for a fee of $160. Then, she said that she needed to "rent” crystals and candles to perform additional chakra cleansings, and that she needed a $1,600 "deposit” just while "renting” the items. She claimed it would be like a temporary "hold” like when you make a hotel reservation and that it would never actually be charged.

It was only a deposit/insurance in case any of the crystals or items were damaged while she rented them. Then she needed an additional deposit of $550 for bigger crystals, this time charged to her "friend’s store” called "The Boutique”. She again reiterated that this was only a "hold/deposit” while she was "renting” the crystals (insurance, in case she damages them by accident). For the first few days, she stayed in contact with me throughout the day, but after about a week, she kept flaking out - saying to call her but she wouldn’t answer, saying she’ll call me but then she didn’t, etc. Meanwhile, I was in pain and out $2,310.

I did agree to pay the initial fee of $160, but I never agreed to pay, and be charged, the other $2,150. She clearly stated they were only deposit/holding/rental fees that wouldn’t actually be charged. Yes, my own fault, I know. But I was in pain and looking for spiritual guidance, and she took advantage. She should have just been upfront and honest about how much money she really wanted. It isn’t right to do this to vulnerable people who are grieving.
