PAWNTASTIC PAWN SHOP RIPOFF CARTERSVILLE Georgia
PAWNED JEWELRY ASSURED ME MY JEWELRY WAS STILL IN HIS POSSESSION THE FOLLOWING WEEK HE TOLD ME JEWELRY WAS SOLD NO PROOF PAID HIM CASH FOR INTEREST, NEVER LATE HAD TO BUY PIECES HE STILL HAD, REFUNDED INTEREST MOST OF EXPENSIVE JEWELRY SOLD BY PAWNSHOP, SENIOR CITIZEN-RIP OFF, FILED POLICE REORT
Pawned some jewelry, paid interest for 8 months, went in to pay June interest and owner informed me he had sold most of my jewelry because I was late in October, 2006. He had assured me the week prior to this that my jewelry was still locked in his file cabinet. He told me I was late, I had no proof as I paid in cash. I was never late with any payments but as I said I have no proof, He refunded me the interest for 8 months and I had to buy back what he had left. Talk about a rip-off I was really taken. Most of my expensive jewelry was gone. Most of the jewelry was what my children had given me. I filed a police report and the officer said it was a civil matter.

This
Report: #264649 posted on August 01, 2007 by Sherrell Joyce should be removed from your Site, as Sherrell Joyce has already requested the removal of this report on May 6, 2009.On 4-03-06 Sherrell Joyce pawned her jewelry, pawn loans are 30 days with a 10 day grace period, (as stated on all pawn contracts, "pledged goods not redeemed within the grace period shall be automatically forfeited to the Pawnbroker by operation of law").
On 10-14-06 Ms Sherrell Joyce was late and past her 10 day grace period, we made the mistake of allowing Ms. Sherrell Joyce to pay her interest, we didn't realize that her grace period had expired and her jewelry was already out for sale.
On June 2007 Ms. Sherrell Joyce came to pick up her pawn and that is when we realized her jewelry had come off pawn on 10-13-06. To make things right we refunded Ms. Sherrel Joyce all interest paid and allowed Ms. Sherrell Joyce to choose from our jewelry display cases what Ms. Sherrell Joyce thought will replace her jewelry, at this time Ms. Sherrell Joyce after receiving her compensation, signed a document releasing us from any liability.
Today October 6, 2009 a Loyal Customer of over 8 years with us told us about this report we would never had known of this untrue report had it not been for our loyal customer.
We did do right by Ms. Sherrell Joyce at our expense and loss, since the pawn was past the 10 day grace period and was legally ours.
We do know Ms. Sherrell Joyce has requested removal of this report back in May 6, 2009.
