A kitten was adopted from a breeder in Opelika,Ala. At the time of the adoption the breeder gave assurrance that the kitten was healthy and even promised to replace kitten if something should happen to this kitten, Within a month of bringing the kitten home breathing problems developed and the kitten spent 3 days in Four Paws animal hospital, came home for a few hours and when right back for more treatment, This kitten was treated daily at the Vets office until he was sent to Aburn University Hosiptal to see a Cardidologist and an Echocardiogram was performed and the kitten was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect and given a few months to live in agony trying to breath or be put down. This kitten is on heart medications to control his heart rate and on diurectis to decrease fluids from his greatly enlarged heart. He will spend his remaining months of life in and out of the hospital and as I write this he is currently in ICU in an oxygen tent at the Auburn Bailey animal hopital, we just pray and hope that thei breeder will be stopped before he puts other families through the on going heartache and pain the we are suffering, the agony is almost unbearable. This breeder continues to breed cats that have hereditory problems. We pray for our little kitten that he won't suffer and that his short life will be a good one filled with love. We are asking for help in stopping him. His daughter is a Vet that provides all the medical care for this kittens and our kittens has a heart murmur rated as 4  on a scale of 2 to 6 that coujd be easily heard since birth. We have attempted to share all this information with this breeder, David Taft, but he is not interested in talking with us. Please stop him from breeding, he states in his advertisements that he is a member of the CFA.
