Pax Prentiss/ passages malibu Pax prentiss The biggest lie evr/ I have a cure Malibu, California
The biggest lie this person has ever told is that he has a cure. People are so desperate to do something to handle theri addictive problem that they will believe a snake oil pitch by a liar like this guy. This moron has no medical training or real education. the only thing he has is the nerve to go on television and make the claims he is making. I would seriously discourage anyone from approaching this bafoon and his company. he is conflict with 12 steps people because he has been exposed as FRAUD who wants to make his money and run.

Yes, yes he did claim to have a cure, he says it several times. That's what most people have a problem with. 12 step programs, and the vast majority of physicians, state there is no cure. The phone number for his company is 1-888-615-CURE.

Addiction IS and always will be a DISEASE that connot be cured, only treated.

I have extensive experience, education, and diagnosis expertise on PolySubstance Use and Abuse! I think it is deploratble to advertise and promise a cure for a disease which has no cure. Pax Pretice! Even his name implies a cure. Pax is Latin for Peace, Prentice implies he is a practitioner of peace. Giving peace is wonderful, but giving false hope is not, it is cruel, misleading, and down right dishonest.
The disease of addiction goes deeper than any accupuncture, massage, pretty surrounding, ocean sounds and sights can even begin to address. However it is peaceful and pleasant to the eye.
This is an age old cure all, just like the old swamp root medicine that worked, mainly because of its content of alcohol and laudinum (Opiate like Heroin) maybe even cocaine is in some of those fake medicines.
So, step right up ladies and gentlemen, we have the cure for every ailment that you have! Just give us your money, and we will get you hooked on the snake oil, and keep you coming back, giving your money more and more each time, and then providing and enabling you to continue feeding your addiction and disease.
Wake up! It is only a bad dream! Shame on Passages Malibu, and Pax Prentice for taking advantage of sick people who haven't got the money, let alone the knowledge to know that they have a Disease which must be treated and cannot be cured, it is in their genetic makeup, and brain chemistry.

When did he say he had a medical background or education? Did you make that up because you're a pathetic abuser? He says it's not a 12-step program. Does he or ANY 12-step program advertise having a cure? Seems to me he's a former addict that discovered, in some way, something that worked for him. The problem is that you pathetic addicts blame everyone but yourselves. I guess you blame him for your failures, too, right?
Or are you just jealous of his business?

Bill W. was not a doctor. However, Dr. Bob, Bill W.'s cofounder of A.A., was, as his name suggests, a doctor.

Dear Dave Lazarus,
Dude you're nuts....A Federal Marshal's investigation? Into what? They're only interested in escaped fuguitves. Reading your comment, you really need to stay in treatment...You have far too much anger. If you're in a 12 step you still have a lot to learn. Humility....Where are you in life that you can judge another?

Profit from other's misery?

Chris and Pax discovered a way to make money curing addiction? Pax is and will always be an addict.....Apparently Pax never learned humility, becuz if you have the cure to such a destructive disease, you should share it for free. Profitting over other's misery is despicable...Pax traded one addiction for another....Heroin for money....I'd love to run a blood tox on Pax
I think testing Pax could bring the cure to light

Pax and his slimeball Father are con artists. That is it. Good scam. Pax is a do nothing little punk drug addict who lived off Daddy's ill gotten real estate money until they hit upon this phony addiction cure angle. Idiots continue to fall for it.
In Pax's lies on his website he states that after 10 years of heroin addiction he suddenly realized that traditional programs don't work and he and daddy just "created" one. Create is right. Just like any scam artist fortune teler w***** they dreamt one up.
They are filth. They prey on the sick and steal hope and dreams. Let's hope they both die.

Many diseases besides alcoholism have no cure, including HIV/AIDS, many Cancers, and the Common Cold.

For the first post who aperently did not do his/her home work about Bill W. Bill W. was not a doctor either and started the twelve steps because his wife was about to divorce him because of his alcoholism.
the second thing people believe that it is a disease and diseases come with cures. some just have not progressed to science yet! others believe that it is just a weakness with in yourself that you need help finding the courage to stand up to the fears off your mind.
Pax prentis might have found...... wait for it some that work other than a 60 year old method!!
12 steps might work for some good for them for what they believe. but i find it is a hour plus long session of people boo hooing about the alcohol thaey cant controle instead of getting on with life and puting on you big person underwear.
and amerca is the land of opportunity if you cant afford malibu boo h*o. he found a way to make money and offer a service to people to help themselves.

12 step programs work!

12 step programs do work! All I hear Pax say is "This is not a 12 step program"...
But as with all recovery programs you have to be willing to do the work!
Their program will not work if if you are not willing to lead a changed life! 12 step programs won't work if you are not willing. Quit your whining and get to work.
I have been clean and sober for 25 years. My whole life has been changed. As a result of 12 step program and my willingness to work and work hard.
Get off your butt and work. The people who are members of a 12 step program are to remain anonymous. They are not supposed to be bringing any professional opinions to the meetings. 12 step programs only "work if you work it". As do all programs for any thing not just addiction. The best thing about 12 step programs is they are free! Some will ask for a small donation but only to pay the rent and light bills. You have but one thing to do... be willing to work as if your life depends on it. Remember 12 step programs do not employ ”professionals". It all depends on you!

Calling someone an idiot only works when you don't come across as an idiot yourself.
First of all, dear dummy, Malibu is on the WEST coast. Secondly, you misspelled many words- including the PRESIDENT'S name.
If you want to be taken seriously, at least pretend to be educated.

Nice way to try and bully your way through any criticism that comes your way. 50 yrs in addiction treatment and you attempt to belittle people by implying that they must be mentally ill? Funny that type of person who calls others fascists are the ones who use the most heavy-handed methods possible. Feel free to do a "Federal Marshall investigation" into my identity, as I will double down on what the origional poster said by noting that i have never seen such a slimy character as that peice of crap pax prentiss on his rediculous commercials. He seems like the type of person who would be featured in a late night commercial for a discount lawfirm who would imply that he was guilty of a crime, yet the wonderful lawyers got him off. Like anyone in the press or any office of government would be interested in your half baked objections to a report that seems to only state the obvious. Glad to know the snake oil trade is alive and well. I am just glad that your particular brand if quackery is so far restricted to the east coast. Let me know what your lord and savior Barak Obama thinks of my comments.

??.I am about to execute a federal marshal investigation into this persin's identity.
This is obviously some sort of mentally ill attackcoming from a god-fearing fascist. The twelve-step program is weak without holist physical and neurobiosciences.
You hace until Monday. I go straight to the NY Times with this. The Rolling Stone, Raw Story, the LA Times, Reauters, Yahoo News, Baeack Obam will be alerted.,.now,
Comply or face wire fraud, libel and federal racketeering charges..
Very sincerely yours,
