I checked my online bank statement like i always do around payday and found a NSF charge for a $17.97 check that i knew nothing about. I called my bank and they told me the website was a payday loan site and and gave me two 800 #s to get in contact with the company. I called the first number (was placed on hold for at least 5 minutes) and the first thing they ask you for is your SSN or your checking account information. I gave them my SSN and they pulled up my information. They told me i had applied for a loan through one of their company so i asked them to name the companies (which i had never heard of). When i told them that i didnt apply for a loan with their companies they quickly offered to cancel my membership. I then asked them if i applied for this loan, how much was the loan for and the lady tells me she doesnt have that information. So I asked her who does and if i could speak with a supervisor then she quickly says you will not be charged any further and basically hung up.

I decided to call the other number hoping i would get a supervisor. Wrong again! This lady asks me for my SSN or checking account info and i try to tell her i already spoke to a customer service rep and want to speak with a supervisor. Before i can get everything out of my mouth she says,"If you cant comply with our terms then i cant help you. Have a nice day." Then hangs up. So i called my bank and they're going to investigate the situation. I hope they file federal charges on them because what they are doing is wrong and they need to be prosecuted asap
