My sister wanted membership to RuneScape, so she bought a $20 card and asked me to give her it. The RuneScape site has my username already there (Which it should not) and I log in on my account - not my sisters (Our usernames are VERY similar). I look at the confirmation page and my mind blanks out and doesn't notice I was subscribing to my account. I hit submit and last second I realize it, I instantly E-mail PayByCash and look for their phone number (Which is no where to be found) and get the sappy excuse of it has already been processed.

I have had used PayByCash in the past and all three times I have had to pay $40 for one reason or another. It's like they are counting on you to mess up so you have to buy another one. Now I gave my sister another $20 but I'm stuck with 90 days of membership of which I do not want or need nor use.

To make matters worse, I phone them and they tell me to talk to Jagex (owners of RuneScape for a refund, and on the Jagex billing FAQ it tells me to contact paybycash immediatly. I e-mailed both and no avail. They blantantly tell me I can get a refund but no, they make it instant so no mistakes can be corrected. Make a 10 minute wait sheesh. Also don't say It's my fualt for not paying attention - everyone blanks out from time to time and it is human nature.

Ultimate Game Card is a Rip Off

#6Consumer Comment

Wed, June 27, 2012

I purchases $100.00 worth of ultimate game cards which was 5 $20.00 cards for my husband to use for maplestory.

Once directed to the game site to redeem the cards my only options were $10, 30, 100.  Not sure if it would accept more than one card I chose the 30.00 one. It took this one and left a balace of $10.00 as it should.  I then entered a 2nd card since it took me back to the pin number to enter and it appeared to work as I was credited with $30.00.

I tried to do another card and entered it in the same manner. I received a success email and then shortly after another email something about nexon only accepts so much in a 24 hours period. Ok, that is fine, will come back tomorrow.  Which I did.

I again went thru the process choosing the $30.00 increment. Entered a new game card which left me with a balance of $10.00 and was told I had a 1000 point credit with ultimate that I could apply.  I did and this gave me the $30.00.

So far so good.  I went ahead and entered my 4th card and waited. It left a balance of 10.00 as expected so I entered my final card.  I got the success page that it went thru.  Never got another email saying it wasn't accepted.

It did NOT go through. I tried again the next day thinking perhaps it was the 24 hour thing and now I am getting "pin number already used".  I have tried to find a contact number for ultimate game cards to no avail.  I have filed 2 contacts on their website only to receive an automated message that it was received.  One email came back and I was told to click on the link below in answer to my submission. I do this and am taken to Ultimate's site and it says "access denied".  Grrrrrr

We are disabled and our only entertainment is playing these games. With a limited income it took a lot of time to save up the money to buy it for my husband's birthday and now I paid $100.00 for $60.00 worth of gaming.  I do not live outside of the USA, so there should not be any charges or such.

I can only say if you are reading this, then you have probably found yourself in a similar situation and I will NEVER buy anything for a game unless it is the actual gaming site, as in my case Nexon.

If anyone ever does stumble across a phone number for Ultimate I would appreciate it being forwarded to me.  Thanks for reading

Dont use these services to fund your online games, I wasted 20.00, poof, gone just like that. Received no game points, and there IS NO WAY to contact them, other than submit questions that go unanswered, best way is buy the game card made by your game.

PayByCash / Ultimate Game Card as payment methods

#6

Thu, September 03, 2009

In this case, PayByCash did exactly what they were supposed to--they received and processed an Ultimate Game Card payment for the customer.

PayByCash has been processing altermate payment options for customers playing multiplayer online video games and RPGs for over 10 years (since 1998), and consumers have been using the Ultimate Game Card in large numbers for the last 2 years. Millions of customers use these convenient payment methods, and PayByCash prides itself on the quality and responsiveness of their customer support.

In this case, the customer placed an order for a specific account on a specific game, made their payment, and it was processed quickly and accurately. That is PayByCash's obligation to the customer. It's also PayByCash's obligation to the game publisher. These are obligations that PayByCash takes very seriously.

When customers pay for premium access to an account on a game site, that access usually comes with access to capabilities and content that is not available to people who are playing the game for free. As a result, game publishers are often very clear about their refund policies. Once PayByCash processes a payment, it is up to the game publisher to decide whether or not they will allow customers to move premium access from one account to the next--usually they won't, for reasons that are fairly apparent.

There is no way for PayByCash to know that when the customer submits a payment for one account that they actually wanted their payment to go to a completely different account. A customer has to login to their game account in order to pay for it. So when a payment comes in for that account, PayByCash processes it as directed. There is really no other way they could operate.

As to the charge that PayByCash processes payments too fast, in near-real-time: That's what customers want and expect. When people have paid, they generally want to get into their game right away. That speed is considered a positive aspect of our service by most people.
