On 16 August I dropped off a few suits to be dry cleaned. I was told I could pick them up the next day. However By the 22nd they had all but one suit jacket ready. They said that suit was not ready yet. I checked back on the 24th and they could not find that last suit jacket. Then on the 27th they said they could not find it. At this point I told them that they needed to either produce the jacket or pay for it.

On the 29th I returned and still no jacket. The manager is never there but I got the counter person to call him and let me speak to him. He told me that if I filled out some forms he would 'see what he could do' and demanded that I show a receipt for the purchase price of the suit.

I have since emailed and faxed the headquarters of Payless cleaners and they have not responded. I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau and received no response at all. I sent them a link to the ad for the suit at Men's Warehouse so they could verify the cost.

I will be filing a small claims suit next week. But the point is I did everything possible just to get my jacket or reimbursement.
