The other day I got a check in the mail for $676,334.77, of course on the back of the check it said it wasn't really a check and 'DO NOT CASH' written on it. However, in the same envelope I got a very professional looking 'Money Transmittal Voucher' in the same amount as the check.

The letter that came with the check and voucher said that all I had to do was sign the voucher and check one of the boxes ($15.49 Documentation Release Fee or $20.49 Priority Release Fee), enclose my check (money order, cashiers check, blah blah blah), and I would receive my 'prize' money.

Reading further I found that the half million was the total amount to be paid out to all winners of the contest, but that I was a guaranteed cash winner. The back of the letter listed the cash prizes and the odds of winning each of them. The lowest listed prize was $50. I had to get out a magnifying glass to actually see the period in front of the 50 making the prize $.50 cents.

Gee, I wonder which prize I would have gotten had I sent in my 20 bucks?
