Payment Resources Sent a "This is Not A Check" for $612,444.89 requesting I pay them $21.96 "assessment & processing fee...to receive an award. NOT! Las Vegas Nevada
This would have been a rip-off if I fell for it. I am afraid for other senior citizens, especially in this terrible economic time, that they will be duped by these people: Payment Resources, who send a letter with a simulated check (but it's "not a check") attached, requesting your signature and $21.96 as a processing fee to release a "CASH AWARD" which "you have already won" which according to the back of their letter could be in truth as little as $0.79 and as much as the $9,800.
This is the worst kind of scam because it's so close to being real and they seem to protect themselves by acting like a sweepstakes and making the recipients of the letters the idiots who "misunderstand" their letters. These people should be stopped immediately. They're swindling $21.96 very likely from people who cannot afford it and need to be routed out.
