My wife signed up for Paypal to purchase an item on ebay. Paypal put a security hold on our account with them because our purchase was $596.00.

They froze our credit card use with them and we then had to give bank information to use the account. They have a 2 to 3 day security policy with that route but they authorized our account for a dollar and we are now waiting from them to make 2 small deposits.

The seller demanded payment within 24 hours and luckily is waiting but may not wait as we are now being told it could be tuesday or so. We were also told that if we bought something now for say $100.00 we would be good on that and yet our other transaction is frozen by the "security model" which flags only "certain" transactions.

We have talked to them 4 times at customer service and spoken to 2 different supervisors who always explain their actions as "erring on the side of caution to prevent fraud"; And yet they have accessed my account which should prove it is my account.
