Complaint Review: PayPal

After 10 years of buying and selling on Ebay through Paypal, consumers, like myself, felt secure in these venues. With over a 96% feedback and great reputation something went terribly wrong in the past month...I, too, have gotten my account frozen which now is linked to my bank account making this a very stressful Holiday. Sellers Beware~ After Paypal and Ebay united they kept updating their policies. Most individuals who had done business via these services didn't check their updates. They already had our banking information and what many of us did not expect is that our beginning contract (signed years ago) was nothing like their frequented new policies allowing them to put a freeze on almost anything. My account is frozen due to the fact that a disgrunted customer (my first ever to want to return an item) stated he opened up and took apart the device he bought from me. Because Paypal has my banking information they cornered me, trying to get me to agree to take back this item for a full refund no matter what condition I receive it in. There is no such thing anymore called buyer remorse. If you write as is and fully explain the problem and offer the item for parts or professional repair it doesn't matter. Remember Ebay & Paypal are making money off of freezing our accounts. We are not alone. Complaints to the BBB by former members of Ebay have escalated in the past few months. Everyday lately I hear something new. One woman friend had her account frozen because she is a member of ebay but prefers to sell somewhere else predominately...when she finally sold an item her account was frozen. Not because a case was opened against her, not because a customer was dissatisfied but because Paypal updated their policy allowing themselves to freeze our accounts to their liking. I would like to sign your petition. I'm certain others would like to also if you post on the BBB trustlink (it's free). You might also want to join Power Sellers Unite online (with over 39060 former Ebay sellers...) Let them know and get this petition going. The time to freeze Paypal and ebay is now!

I agree this needs to be stopped. They are doing the same thing to me! lost over 1000 in a single day because I'm forced to do refunds. I pray other people will speak out and help stop this scamming company
