June 26 I ordered in USD (no other currency) a supplement valued $775 from a Florida Company and paid with a Guatemalan credit card which gives me separate statement either in local currency (Quetzal) or in USD. PayPal sent me afterwards a statement indicating an exchange rate of of 126896 to the local currency which would be 6107.41 Quetzales. In the end this amount was changed again into USD resulting in $799.99 as a debit on my credit card with the bank Ficohsa in Guatemala. I want to stress I ordered in USD! never asked for a currency exchange to a local currency, even less changing back into USD so as to PayPal makes more money.

Its obvious that Paypal takes advantage of customers outside the US in order to make additional money applying exchange rate and make conversion back and forth. Everything said here can be underlined with written proof, as I have all the extracts.

Ficohsa Bank uses Visa, headoffice in Honduras and has corresponding bank in the US, as it has no Swift. Thanks
