I sold a bicycle on ebay for 339.99 plus 300 for shipping to Taiwan. I sold a complete Biachi Bicycle. The buyer stated that he got a Mongoose mountain bike frame. He filed a dispute with paypal and they told the buyer to return the item for a refund. The buyer sent me back the frame he claimed he got. I filed an appeal with paypal. They closed it in the buyers favor. The fedex tracking showed the returned item weighed 20 lbs but my shipping label from the Post Office showed the bike I shipped weighed 30 lbs. I sent this information to paypal. they still awarded the buyer the money. They took 640.00 from me. The buyer has my bike and his money back.

...post the ad you listed which would include your eBay seller ID..and the buyers eBay user ID.

The reason is you lodged this report against PayPal...and there is ZERO evidence posted. If you sold a complete bicycle and the buyer states he only received a frame and then sent this supposed frame back.you have a major problem if this was an International sale.

I am no genius but know better then to expect the same kind of seller protection if this was a US transaction/sale vs shipping something off to Taiwan? If you did indeed get ripped off here..you need to seriously consider if it is right of you to hold PayPal responsible for the fact that you lost a gamble...or made a bad decision despite all the warnings PayPal and others have left?

Just common sense here!

WHY would you ship any high value item overseas??

That's just plain stupid!

And, unless you are totally new to Ebay and Paypal, you know the risks, and the buyer scams and loopholes. Paypal sides with the buyer almost every time.

And, how can you ship any bike with a total shipping wt of only 30 pounds?

This whole story sounds fishy.

However, you should post this person's Ebay user id here so others do not get burned, as well as full name and shipping address, email, etc.

Burn this idiot in public for this scam.

I ship high value items sold on Ebay only to United States addresses, especially if Paypal is used. This way, if someone rips me off, I can show up on their doorstep. I have actually done this. It's amazing how fast a scammer changes his mind when you show up and look them in the eye.
