I am at a loss! I don't know what else to do! I along with three adult daughters, and my son in-law all filed our taxes on my computer. We all went through taxact. We filed Jan. 17th. We received our paypower cards around the 25th. We tried to activate our cards online but each card had been blocked. We all had to call the 800# and speak with men that had the worst English that I've ever heard. We were told that all of us had to fax in our I.D., SS card, and proof of residence. On the 26th of Jan. We all faxed our documents to paypower's fax number. We received a deposit date from the IRS (where's my refund website) for the 1st of Feb.

So we started calling paypower to see if our cards were activated. After hours of speaking with foreign men we got in touch with a supervisor who said that we all had to re-fax our documents because they were too dark. We re-sent the documents. Two of my daughters were told to send elect. bill, hos. bill...so they did. We tried to stay updated on the progress of our cards but they were still in review. I told them my deposit date was Feb. 1st. They said everything looked good and it would be within 24-48 hours then they would call us back, but no one called us so we called them back. Again, they told us that we needed more proof of who we were. So we sent more proof. Degree of Indian blood, birth certificates...

On the 1st of Feb. I called back and they still had not completed the reviews. I told them again that my deposit was due to be put on my card the 1st. They said that it would be activated by then. I checked the WMR on the IRS site and it showed that all of our tax refunds were deposited so I called paypower up again and they said that we still need to send more proof of who we are. I asked to speak to someone in the reviewing department, and they said that they would have to call me back because the reviewing company was in Calif.??? The end result being that todays date is 2-13-2013. I will be receiving my refund by paper check.

I called the IRS around the 10th and paypower had sent my refund back to the IRS, along with two other family members, but there's still some that paypower is holding their refund and will not send it back to the IRS until they fax more info. I'm fed up with companies like this. Paypower is not a credit card company. It's a prepaid card, a card for loading money on it, and an awful one at that! If I wanted a paper check I would not have e-filed my return. I'm outraged! This company is keeping honest peoples refunds as long as they can so they can draw as much interest as they can. At the last minute they're sending it back to the IRS. They're making millions off of the interest of our refunds. This needs to be stopped. The only way of stopping this is to take legal action! I did not speak to one English person on the phone all had very poor English! This company has set my entire family back! Bills, car payments...all had to be put on hold. This is such bull crap! Never will I file with taxact again until they change their card company!!!
