I recently went through a divorce and this is the first tax return that i have filed on my own, ever in my entire life. I was looking forward to recieving my taxes and getting all  caught up on my bills.  i have been babysititing all year to make ends meet.  So this is the first large sum of money that i have gotten and earned on my own.  I was expecting my refund to be direct deposited onto my paypower card (that i never recieved in the mail) on April 9, 2014.  Well the funds (apprx. $3,000) came from the IRS and my card never did.  So i attempted to transfer my money to my cousin's card so i could use it, well they filled out a "ticket" which would take 3 to 5 business days to go through and then i could use my money.  Well 7 days later after numerous calls to paypower i get transfered to "lori" in the risk management department.  i can't read and write well so i had my friend helping me with everything, (she is typing this for me now) and she immediately started talking down to me.   in fact her whole attitude changed and she starterd talking slower and spelling things out for me.  it was embarassing not to mention it was upseting as well. so rather than deal with lori any more i ordered another card, which i had to pay $35.00 for because it was sent ups.  i wanted to make sure that i recieved it this time.

well when i recieved my card i went to use it and there was a lock on it.  so once again i called up paypower and they informed me that lori from risk management put a lock on my card and i couldn't use it.  after speaking with her once again she informed me that she would take the lock off my card when she verified my identity.  so i went to social security and got a paper from them and went to the dmv and got a duplicate of my drivers license.  well i sent them all oif the documents that they wanted through email and that still wasn't good enough.  now they want a copy of my drivers license and proof of residency.  so i wait until my license comes in the mail and send them a copy of that and my cell phone bill.  that was 3 days ago and every time i call they say that someone from risk management will be calling me back and they never do.  they went so far as to tell me that it doesn't matter how many times that i call it won't make them help me any faster!!

so as it stands now i am about to be evicted from the place i am staying because i was counting on that money to live on.  they have had my taxes for over a month now and still will not acknowledge me or help me in anyway. i call they tell me that they have no control over the lock on my account and they can't help me in anyway.  it was risk management and they are located in a different state and they don't have a direct number.  they are reached by them through tickets that are filled by them.  each ticket takes 3 to 5 days (always longer) to get an answer to.  i even tried to tell them to send my taxes back to the irs but David from risk management convinced me that was a bad idea.  now i want to send my taxes back to the irs but i cant get ahold of anyone to do it.  it is done through risk management department and they wont call me back and i cant get ahold of them, they are always busy.  their exact words are "they are unavailable at this time!!"
