PBB Global Logistics ripoff Fort Erie Ontario
This past summer I purchased a car bumper for an antique car from a seller in the US. I then negotiated shipping charges which would include all fees and taxes. The bumper arrived to me shortly there after in great shape and I was very happy with my purchase even though it cost me $200+/- to get it shipped.
Approximatley 1 month later I am sent a bill from PBB Global Logistics for $113.+ dollars and they claim to be the brokers for the shipping company. They also claim to have paid the duty and taxes for my purchase. I never heard from them before this! I never authorised them to do anything on my behalf! I contacted them to explain this only to be told that when I sign for my package in the bill of lading ( which is a plastic bag stuck to the package) is a statment saying that my signature gives them the right to do this. Well I never got to see this statment until I signed for the package as it remained on the delivery truck until I signed.
Secondly I was under the impression that all fees and taxes would be paid at time of sale. Lastly the items I purchased were duty exempt and I was still charged duty for them. I held back my payment until I was placed into the care of a collection adgency and then rather than screw up my credit rating for there B.S. I decided to pay. I would like to see a refund and an apology!
