While browsing the internet for Budgeting software a pop up appeared which said that I had viruses on my computer. Thispop upprompted me to run the software which I did. The program called "security shield" software reported a number of viruses on my computer, and the software prompted me to purchase the software to remove the virues which I did.The software promted me to simultaneously release on my credit card details for the purchase while the download took place. The download the prompted me to remove the viruses which then removed the viruses which you can actually see happening.Immediately after the software ran I checked my system to view the installation in the Windows 7Controlpanel. Carefully checking my system I could not find the software download anyware which immediately made me realise that this was a scam. I run McAffee security software on my computer and checked the computer for viruses. It then dawned on me that this was a very clever scam as I doubted my protection and was drawn into believing that the viruses were on my system. The "security shield" software cleverly loads bogus virieson to your computer and a whole esquence of promts draws you into purchasing the software. I was lucky as I immediately informed the fraud devision of my bank who managed to reverse the transaction. Iwas forcedto stop my credit card as the information is nowcompromised and who knows what may happen. Please becarefull out there and thank you McAffee!!!!!!
